Select ringtone transmission method you want to test:
The ringtone will be downloaded to your phone Over The Air via WAP/Internet. This is the recommended and also the quickest and easiest way to get ringtones to your mobile phone.
If your network operator has disabled WAP/Internet downloads to your phone or if the above option failed, you can first save the ringtone file to your computer, then send it to your mobile phone using a Cable, Bluetooth or an Infrared link that you already have setup on your computer.
Read the phone manual to find more information on how to connect your mobile phone to your computer and what file type to download.
Direct to mobile phone test: Step 1 of 3: WAP/Internet connection setup
There are 2 things you must check to make sure that your phone is WAP/Internet ready:
Check if your mobile phone has WAP/Internet capabilities
If your mobile phone has a WAP Browser, then your phone should be able to access the Internet. Please consult your mobile phone Users Manual for instructions on connecting and using an Internet connection.
Check if your mobile phone is properly configured to access the Internet
Even if your phone has WAP/Internet capabilities (see above), it must be properly configured in order to use the Internet.
If you haven't accessed the Internet before from your mobile phone or if you don't know if your settings are correct, please call your Network Operator's customer support hotline and ask them to enable the Internet on your mobile phone. Note that your may be charged extra for the WAP/Internet service.

In order to test your mobile phone's WAP/Internet connection:

Load the following URL Address into your mobile phone WAP browser:
http://djte.net
First go to your phone's WAP browser (found under menu headings such as (depending on your phone make): "Services" or "Internet" or "Connections" or "Surf and Fun") and then type in the URL Address (under such submenus as "Go to address" or "Add bookmark" or "Open page").
Please consult your mobile phone Users Manual for WAP browser and URL address input instructions.

If your phone screen does not show something similar to the image on the left or if an error occured while loading the requested URL address, then your phone is not properly setup to access the Internet. Please refer to Step 1 for more instructions.

Direct to mobile phone test: Step 3 of 3: Ringtone compatibility test
After you selected the "Test your phone" option, there are 2 possible results of your phone analysis:
Result 1: Ringtone download link
If your phone is recognized by the system, you will be presented with a "Download here" option. Follow this option in order to finish the phone compatibility test; the ringtone file download will automatically start.
If your mobile phone is able to download, play and use the downloaded file as ringtone, then your phone IS COMPATIBLE with the service. You can place a License order and start using The Ringtone Maker.
If the downloaded file can be played but can not be set as ringtone, your phone is not compatible with the service.
Result 2: Error message
If you get an error message after you selected the "Test your phone" option, then your phone IS NOT COMPATIBLE with the service.
You may want to contact the Customer Care Service in order to get more details on this phone compatiblity test.
You should not place a License order if your phone is not compatible with the service.
Note: You may be charged by your network operator for the use of WAP/Internet.

Download to computer test
The recommended way to download ringtones created with The Ringtone Maker to your mobile phone is to use the Over The Air (OTA) transfer via the WAP/Internet connection.
If your network operator blocks access to WAP/Internet downloads or for some other reason your phone is unable to transfer file Over The Air, then you can save the ringtone file to your computer, and then send it to your mobile phone via Cable, Bluetooth or Infrared.
In order to do this you must:
Know what ringtone format your phone can use (MP3, QCP, AMR, etc). Please consult the phone manual in order to find more information on different ringtone formats that your mobile phone can use.
Have an Cable, Bluetooth or Infrared link already setup on your computer so you can transfer files (ringtones, pictures, etc) from your computer to your mobile phone. Read the phone manual to find more information on how to connect your mobile phone to your computer.
When you have all the above information ready, click on the "Continue" button, to download the ringtone file to your computer.
